5 Stars Pilates on the Go – On the Ball
I find this dvd fun and relaxing to use. After my first session, I was so sore I had to wait about 3 days to try again. Fortunately, the workout is so enjoyable I eagerly anticipated my next pilates session with this dvd. After just two weeks I have grown stronger and feel more lithe and agile (in other words, graceful). Movement has become a joy again.

Maria Leone has a pleasant personality, she’s not irritatingly peppy or bossy; her instructions are easy to follow yet the excersizes are challenging. I highly recommend Pilates on the Go – On the Ball for beginners who need to regain their physical confidence and strength.

5 Stars Effective and enjoyable workout
This has all the important aspects right. The exercise regimen has helped me loosen up and build strength after a serious injury. The movements are varied with several related movements to address muscle groups, but with only a few reps on any specific movement I haven’t gotten sore, but am developing strength and muscle tone.

Maria Leone is pleasant — she’s nice to spend time with 3 times per week.

This program is most suitable for regular people who want to build strength and flexibility. A super-athlete would probably want a more rigorous program.

5 Stars Excellent workout on the ball
This is a great pilates based workout on the ball ,I was surprised no one reviewd this product and there weren’t even a picture so I decided to buy it based upon reviews on videofitness.com (I purchased it at a cheaper price at deepdiscountdvd).

The dvd quality is great and Maria Leone performs the workout at an outdoors location next to a pool and there’s a beautiful landscape of green hills. Maria’s instruction is clear and easy to follow , the workout starts with a little warm up with some bouncing on the ball which was really fun, afterwards there are some pilates abs based moves with the ball which were familiar from other ball workouts , there’s a fun exercise in which while lying on your back , you throw the ball and have to catch it between your legs, also theres some bridge variations on the ball

, back extensions , short sidework for the legs and some pushups

the workout ends with some very nice stretches. The workout is about 40 minutes. After the workout I felt calm and centered , this is not the most challenging workout you’ll find so I would say it’s good for intermediates and advanced people who want an easier workout, I wouldn’t recommend it for people with no experience working out on the ball or that are not in good shape.

I’m a pilates instructor myself and I would definitely recommend

this dvd.

Swiss Ball Upper Body

Swiss Ball Upper Body

Adam Ford’s Swiss Ball Upper Body DVD utilizes the versatility and accessibility of the ball to deliver a potent upper body workout. The Swiss ball is widely used and appreciated for its effectiveness in core training. Now Adam has applied those proven principles and designed a fun, fast and effective upper body workout. These movements use the ball to leverage and pivot your own bodyweight without additional weights or machines for an incredible workout.

Swiss Ball Upper Body favors muscle integration over isolation promoting balance and flexibility. In addition to your chest, back, shoulders and arms, these efficient exercises also engage your core. The 3-phase progression offers a variety of intensity, appropriate for men and women of all abilities. Customize your workout even more with the recommendations and extra content on the DVD. Experience these simple convenient workouts that build real strength and stability through a full range of motion – not useless bulk. You’ll feel great and be even stronger than you look.

From the instructor: As much as I enjoy traditional weightlifting exercises with barbells and dumbells I have to say that training your upper body with the ball is also highly effective. Targeting your upper body with the ball takes focus and concentration but results speak for themselves. Even if your goal is lifting heavy weight in exercises like the bench press my Swiss Ball Upper Body workouts will condition your important stabilizer muscles, encourage greater flexibility and help keep you injury free.

3 Stars Bland
I favor stability ball exercises because they challenge core balance. The consistent reviews about this product convinced me to buy this. I haven’t used this DVD yet since I scanned what’s in it. After all the hype and Adam Ford’ripped abs, I’m still waiting to strengthen my core so I can do the moves in his program. It doesn’t look exciting but the being on the ball keeps me hanging on to this dvd.

I am giving in 3 stars because of the pricing (at 19.95)and the instruction is a lifeless voice over. I guess he has to do voice over to focus on the work out.

4 Stars Challenging and Difficult
I bought all 3 of Adam Ford’s DVD’s and was amazed at all one can do with the Swiss Ball. I struggle each time because at 5ft 11, I think I maybe should have purchased the large ball, not the medium. I am in fairly good shape, but these videos are a real challenge for me. I sometimes have trouble doing the beginning exercises. and on the lower body one, I have the greatest challenge. Adam knows His stuff, but I wish he would take a bit more time to explain the positions. I tend to lack behind. He has a great physique, but toast has more of a personality. He is one bland dude.

5 Stars Great workout for your upper body
He does things with the ball I would never have thought of. There is quite a bit of pushups and balancing on your hands with the ball under your feet. He uses 2 balls in exercise 2, but you can do it with one. I think it’s a great workout and I hope I get results.

4 Stars good exercises
this dvd is very good,it has good exercises that will help you to keep a good body

5 Stars Super Challenging Workout
I have been using other advanced balance ball workouts for a few years now, but was humbled during Phase I, the least difficult routine. I am now able to complete all the exercises and improve a little each time I do the workout. Phase I will continue to challenge me just by adjusting my position on or near the ball. I don’t see how anyone could outgrow this DVD. Adam is just amazing in Phase 2 and 3. As with his other DVDs, I love that Adam provides form pointers but doesn’t chatter endlessly throughout the routine. I also appreciate that he doesn’t count every rep.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars A Good Introduction To Stability Ball
Swiss ball basics is a 50 minute workout , there is only 10 exercises which are performed in 2 sets of about 10 reps , the instructor shows more advanced variations on the second set and does some stretches in between the sets. Though the exercises can be challenging , the workout is pretty slow paced and let you to concentrate in the exercises. The quality of this video is very good and it is filmed on a sanded area , the instruction is very good also and during the exercises there’s some animated pointers.

I think if youre in a good shape you’d be better off just buying his “swiss ball abs” it has most of the exercises from swiss ball basics but it has 3×20 minute workouts in different levels (but there all pretty tough).

5 Stars Good basic video
Great video for a basic level ball workout. Only complaint I could make is that it is so short and there are no variations to the short “full workout”.

5 Stars Best Medicine Ball Workout
I bought this DVD after reading the reviews written on Amazon.com and I have been rewarded beyond my expectations. It has only been few days since I received the DVD and already I can feel the adjustment that my body is going through after each exercise. I feel the pain in my muscles and I can see that the “Swiss Ball Basics” DVD by Adam Ford is a serious workout program.

The picture quality of this DVD is excellent and Mr. Ford gives a clear guidance how each workout should be done. This is the best DVD in its category that I have seen. In the past, I bought many fitness DVDs; including two by John Basedow (Fitness Made Sipmle – Unlock Your Potential and AM-PM Workouts), one called 8 Minute Workouts and another by Gunnar Peterson called “Core Secrets”, but non were as good as the Swiss Ball Basics. Either they were amateurish such as John Basedow’s DVDs or they were not as well as structured as Adam Ford’s DVD.

If you are in the market for a core workout fitness DVD, save your money folks and buy this DVD by Adam Ford. You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend this workout DVD. From now on, when I am in the market for a new fitness workout DVD, I’ll make sure that I read the comments of other users first!

5 Stars An excellent swiss ball exercise dvd
I agree with the other reviewers, this is an excellent swiss ball exercise dvd. It is done on sand dunes, with blue skies in the background, which I find very relaxing. Excellent oral and physical instruction, and nice music.

The exercises range from easy to difficult. Some I could do the first time, others, like the side crunch I got after a few sessions, and others, like the superman I am still working to get. Do not mistake Basic with easy, this is a challenging workout for someone who is serious about swiss ball work.

The pace is just right, with stretches between most exercises. Not so fast that I need to pause it, not so slow as to be too slow.

4 Stars No nonsense workout
He can do all the exercises, moves methodically through them, and doesn’t waste time with phony encouragement. Good at showing positions from different angles.
