3 Stars Great Excercises But REPEATS!!!
The video was great, but the exercises are repeats. Both models do the same exercises as the first. Only two guys are shown naked throughout the video. Only one seems to get a good partial erection. There was several opportunities in the Behind the Scenes and Out Takes to show a guy with a full erection, but each time he covered himself and no effort was put forth to show it.

The videos were good entertaining and informative. One guy was much cuter than the other one. I feel insulted when they cut out the erection scenes so i would not recommend the video unless you have ot buy an exercise video anyway. It is good just don’t look for anything special at all.

5 Stars Big Workout!!!!!!!!!!
I have to admit, When I first bought this DVD, my intentions were to drool over the eye candy. But then I tried the workout. Surprise Surprise, this actually works. I needed to lose a few pound in my gut area and I swear to you, in two weeks, my abs went from jello to hard candy. I never write reviews about my purchases, but I had to share this with the world. Trust me, you won’t regret purchasing this AMAZING DVD. Good luck!

3 Stars Good Intro to the Fitness Ball
As another reviewer commented, this is certainly not an advanced workout; however, it is a good introduction to the fitness ball. The narrator lacks energy and enthusiasm, but it doesn’t distract too much. The two models perform basically the same routine, but one uses hand weights more. I do the exercises three times a week and have noticed a difference. I would recommend it for beginners.

1 Star Bigs Balls is Small Value
Not that I expected a nude workout video to be a tool to get me ripped and muscular, but the exercises in this video, while self-rated as “advanced” are anything but. If these are advanced exercises, the beginner version must be for people with zero muscle mass. The voiceover is monotone, the models have zero personality or charisma. And, the DVD comes with outtakes and behind the scenes that are just gratuitous. The “Penises on Parade” segment was laughable and completely non-erotic.

I won’t be wanked into another nude exercise DVD.

4 Stars Gym ball nude workout
I was surprised how good this DVD was in terms of the genuine work out exercises. The first guy to demonstrate is better looking in my opinion than the second guy, and it is a pity there vare only two guys in the DVD.

If you want to work out, as well as having fun in the nude with your partner, this is a very good DVD

Karen Voight B L T Butt Legs and Tummy

Karen Voight B L T Butt Legs and Tummy

Studio: First Look Home Entertain Release Date: 10/07/2003 Run time: 45 minutes Rating: Nr

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Mild workout
I purchased a stability ball not long ago and love not only the comfort and support that it provides, but the wide variety of toning and stretching that can be performed on the ball. I rented this video hoping to get a good workout, since the B.L.T. in the title stands for “butt, legs and tummy.” While it does offer up some nice stretching, the toning is rather minimal and not very challenging. It is however, a little more fun than what I’ve encountered with other K.V. videos, but not nearly as fun as other stability ball workouts I’ve done since with it’s so-so music and set. I’d definitely say it’s a beginner level workout, or suitable as an add-on program for lighter days. The video runs 25 minutes, which includes both the warm-up and cool-down.

It’s not bad, but I would recommend Denise Austin’s “Core Complete” or Lizbeth Garcia’s “Pilates: On the Ball” workouts over this, even for beginners. I’m curious to check out what K.V.’s newer “Slim Toning on a Ball” DVD is like, which from the sample clips appears to be more challenging (incorporates dumbbells) and possibly more fun than this.

5 Stars Love Karen Voight!
I love this dvd! It’s a quick workout that I can do when I don’t have a whole hour to workout. I ordered this dvd because I became hooked on Karen’s style of fitness. She gives great direction for every move on the ball and she really knows how to motivate you. Loved it!

5 Stars 6 Years Later I Still Love It
I’ve been working out to this DVD for 6 years, and it still pushes me. Karen Voight gives suggestions for changing the difficulty levels on the exercises, and her timely little reminders to keep your tummy tucked in or square your shoulders keep me on track. I have solid abs, no back pain, and a firmer butt. The best part- I can do the entire DVD in 20 minutes from warm up to cool down. I highly recommend this as the best workout DVD for beginners to those just looking to maintain. It’s the best money I’ve ever spent on exercise.

3 Stars Ok, could have been better
I have other videos of Karens and so I am very familar with her teaching style and workouts. I found this particular workout to be on the easy side for her. Many of her workouts are challenging and you feel it after but this was not that challenging for me and the length was short.

I have done stability ball workouts from a fitness show on tv that were much more challenging.

4 Stars Short but boring
I’m giving this DVD 4 stars because it was what I wanted…a short workout for when I’m pressed for time. But other than that, I am agreeing with everyone who said it was boring, because it is. I have another of Karen’s videos and it is shot on a beach with fabulous scenery and it just changes the whole tone of the video. This one is just blah with a boring set and boring music. It’s okay for what I wanted it for, but if you’re looking for something jazzy and motivating, keep looking.

Stott Pilates Core Balance Level 1

Stott Pilates Core Balance Level 1

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Solid basic beginner introduction to ball pilates
This cover indicates this is a level 1 DVD – I assume that means for people without experience doing ball pilates and for people who are not avid exercisers who are already in great physical shape. And, that is what it delivers. The cuing is good, the instructions are clear for the most part, the instructors have calm clear voices, the transitions are reasonable, and the production quality is fine. There is an intro that explains the basics that you can avoid in the future. Since I’ve done a few classes, I am not sure if the intro explains everything you’d need if you were completely new, bit it seems thorough.

The exercises are appropriate for someone who is capable of doing sit-ups, stretches, etc. That said, some of the harder exercises could not be done by someone who was out of shape in the “core” area.

I avoid some of the exercises because I have a chronic knee condition and the specific segments hurt my knee. I either keep doing the last exercise or fast forward (though I’d much prefer a video that addresses knee injuries so I wouldn’t have to fast forward). Of the four ball videos I have (all relatively new to me), this one has the most exercises I can do without hurting my knee. On one I have, I cannot do over half of the exercises, so I appreciate this one.

All in all, it’s not perfect, but it’s solid and works well for its intended audience. If you are toned, fit or do other ab work or yoga, this is most likely not for you. If you like hyped instruction, a fast workout, or to work at a more frenetic pace, this is also probably not for you. If you like a calmer approach and are recovering from an injury, have been out of condition for awhile, or have never worked out, this will probably be just fine. You may find the end of it a bit challenging, but it gives you something to work up to.

1 Star Not for anyone in any kind of shape
I found it to be extremely boring. It would be great for someone older looking for a very mild workout or someone in poor shape looking to start slow. It consists of very easy moves like laying on top of the ball and rolling back and forward and holding very basic positions. If you are looking for anything challenging at all then I would suggest not buying this DVD.

4 Stars i liked this dvd
its a longer workout on the ball but Stott pilates covers everything and explains it very well. highly recommend!

Core Plus More

Core Plus More

Variety is the key! Get new twists on the classic leg lift, pushup, and ab crunch with lots of butt-firming moves too. Technique makes all the difference! Minimize wasted energy and see faster results by doing fewer reps but getting more out of each one. Build strength and lengthen your body at the same time.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Targets Core Muscle Groups
“I’ll show you how to minimize wasted energy while maximizing concentration on the targeted muscles of your core essentials.” ~ Karen Voight

In “Core Plus More,” Karen Voight presents a workout to target the core muscle groups. She also focuses on the arms and legs by using weights to increase the intensity. The added resistance increases your efforts so on exercises for the abs, holding weights above the head while doing a crunches makes them super effective. As always Karen emphasizes proper form to optimize your results. The main sections of the workout include:

Aerobics – Warm up

Legs & Butt 10 minutes

Arms, Back & Torso 5 minutes

Abdominals 10 minutes

Cool down – Stretch

The workout begins with a brief aerobics section to warm up the muscles then moves right into leg exercises inspired by Pilates. She uses her green genies (weighted balls) to increase the resistance. The main workout is on a round blue platform and she is wearing a ruby outfit so the colors are interesting.

During the Arms, Back & Torso workokut she does quite a few sets of push-ups which I found challenging when combined with Plank. Next you use weights while you are on your back and then move into a cool down with unique side stretches and plenty of attention to stretching out the legs.

Overall, I’d say this is a challenging workout with unique exercises. Karen Voight’s teaching style is very precise so the cueing is always excellent and you feel like you have completed a calorie-burning workout with an artistic appeal.

~The Rebecca Review

3 Stars Unique full body toning workout
First of all, keep in mind that this is a repackaged workout; it has been marked as both “Core Essentials” and “Pilates Core Essentials.” This is definitely not a Pilates workout, so maybe that was part of the reason for the name change. Rather, it is a full-body toning workout similar to the first half of one of instructor Karen Voight’s other videos, Streamline Fitness.

The workout begins with a simple, 4 minute warm-up to get your body moving; this is followed by 8 minutes of standing strength moves. The exercises consist of traditional squats and crunches, but Karen makes them unique by adding more movement. Although her cuing is excellent, the variety of the moves is a little hard to follow upon first viewing of the video, but you do get the hang of it. One problem I had with this section is regarding how Karen uses the arms: the arm movements often seem unnecessary and mismatched to the leg work. The main body of this workout occurs on the floor. Karen continues the legwork with extensions done both on all fours and on the side; she sometimes uses her weighted “genie balls”–you could also substitute ankle weights, but I found the moves to be challenging enough without the added weight! She then targets the arms with a tough push-ups sequence as well as several exercises with dumbbells. The workout ends with abs and back exercises followed by a 6 minute cool down.

As always, Karen offers meticulous tips on form throughout. This was an average-to-good workout (I’d actually have given it 3 1/2 stars if I could), but I prefer Karen’s Streamline Fitness, which offers additional arm work, a tougher abs section, and relaxing yoga moves as well.

5 Stars Completely Unique!
I have to give this DVD 5 stars for its wonderful uniqueness! I am always searching for DVDs that give a new spin on toning exercizes – and this definitely fits the bill. I truly feel that in order to continually shape and define your muscels, you need to find different ways to move your muscels. And in addition to being unique, the moves and combinations are also challenging – you can feel the burn. It’s a fantastic workout at a great price!

5 Stars Karen is one of the best instructors out there :-)
Each of Karen’s workouts are gems. They provide enough toughness to be beneficial and yet through her clear instruction and great cuing, it’s easy to follow and very motivating. This is another one of her gems. It’s a great flowing workout that is done to develop lean muscles and good healthy joint mobility. Some positions may be a little tricky to get yourself into, but with each go, you’ll improve and it will be easier. She always gives clear and precise instructions so you know what’s coming up next without straining to look at the tv all the time.

This works all the core muscles – abs, back, [...], arms and legs. There is nice jazz type music in the background that isn’t annoying and helps you keep in rythym. You’ll need weights for this but it’s so worth your while doing this because there are so many people who forget to stretch and strengthen muscles – we think that cardio is all we need. This is so relaxing to do and beneficial that I recommend it to everyone.

2 Stars weak workout, fussy moves
I like Karen’s Yoga based workouts, but this one is not a very good workout. the moves are too fussy (if not done very precisely they are ineffective) and then too quick, so your chances of getting an effective workout are slim, and chances of injury are higher. these ‘genie balls’ are silly, or at least are used in a silly way here.
