5 Stars Just try and see it for yourself.
This is the most effective abdominal workout DVD, currently available on the market. Adam Ford could not have created a better self fitness guide program as he did in the “Swiss Ball Abs”.

4 Stars Careful what you ask for!
I was looking for a swiss ball workout to really challenge me. Careful what you ask for- some of these moves are HARD. I cant balance myself on the ball with only my shoulder. BUT- most of these techinques are very doable- and explained at a rate you can understand. There are three 20 min workouts that will challenge you. I will spent alot of time trying to master this one. I am sure I will get in shape trying to accomplish that. This is DEFINATELY NOT for beginners.

5 Stars Excellent abd DVD workout
I purchased this DVD based on the reviews and because I heard that the exercises were extremely advanced. I’ve been studying martial arts for over 10 years and been working out with a friend of mine, who happens to be a trainer with the NASM. I’ve seen and performed many different abd exercises throughtout the years, using a variety of equipment, including machine balls, BOSU, abd machines, Power wheels, hitting my upper, lower, obliques and transverse abdominals muscles. I’ve also done regular old fashion crunches, bicycling, leg raises, hip thrust, etc, etc, so I’m no stranger to abd exercises. I’ve been looking for a more difficult and challenging workout for a while and I definitely found it with this DVD. Not only does these exercises challenge your abd muscles using the stability ball, using all three planes of motion, frontal, sagittal, and transverse, but it also forces you to use your stabilizing muscles, which makes the exercises even more difficult. This DVD is truly for the advanced. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new challenging routine. But be warned, this is NOT for a beginner.

4 Stars good
nice, but wish he could do a better job on explaining things, but it’s good, not disappointed.

4 Stars Great core workout
I’ve just recently purchased a swiss ball and wanted some advanced routines and this video is terrific…I’ll tell all my gym friends about it.

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Ok, could have been better
I have other videos of Karens and so I am very familar with her teaching style and workouts. I found this particular workout to be on the easy side for her. Many of her workouts are challenging and you feel it after but this was not that challenging for me and the length was short.

I have done stability ball workouts from a fitness show on tv that were much more challenging.

4 Stars Short but boring
I’m giving this DVD 4 stars because it was what I wanted…a short workout for when I’m pressed for time. But other than that, I am agreeing with everyone who said it was boring, because it is. I have another of Karen’s videos and it is shot on a beach with fabulous scenery and it just changes the whole tone of the video. This one is just blah with a boring set and boring music. It’s okay for what I wanted it for, but if you’re looking for something jazzy and motivating, keep looking.

5 Stars 6 Years Later I Still Love It
I’ve been working out to this DVD for 6 years, and it still pushes me. Karen Voight gives suggestions for changing the difficulty levels on the exercises, and her timely little reminders to keep your tummy tucked in or square your shoulders keep me on track. I have solid abs, no back pain, and a firmer butt. The best part- I can do the entire DVD in 20 minutes from warm up to cool down. I highly recommend this as the best workout DVD for beginners to those just looking to maintain. It’s the best money I’ve ever spent on exercise.

3 Stars Mild workout
I purchased a stability ball not long ago and love not only the comfort and support that it provides, but the wide variety of toning and stretching that can be performed on the ball. I rented this video hoping to get a good workout, since the B.L.T. in the title stands for “butt, legs and tummy.” While it does offer up some nice stretching, the toning is rather minimal and not very challenging. It is however, a little more fun than what I’ve encountered with other K.V. videos, but not nearly as fun as other stability ball workouts I’ve done since with it’s so-so music and set. I’d definitely say it’s a beginner level workout, or suitable as an add-on program for lighter days. The video runs 25 minutes, which includes both the warm-up and cool-down.

It’s not bad, but I would recommend Denise Austin’s “Core Complete” or Lizbeth Garcia’s “Pilates: On the Ball” workouts over this, even for beginners. I’m curious to check out what K.V.’s newer “Slim Toning on a Ball” DVD is like, which from the sample clips appears to be more challenging (incorporates dumbbells) and possibly more fun than this.

Rating: Fair

5 Stars Love Karen Voight!
I love this dvd! It’s a quick workout that I can do when I don’t have a whole hour to workout. I ordered this dvd because I became hooked on Karen’s style of fitness. She gives great direction for every move on the ball and she really knows how to motivate you. Loved it!
