If your elbows hurt decrease the range of motion a little bit and/or adjust your body position a little to decrease the resistance. In exercises like cable tricep extensions the resistance fades as each end of the movement. In these ball exercises the resistance is high when your elbow is in full flexion and extension. Push ups are my favorite upper body exercise with the ball. Thanks for your question!
